A Questionnaire Survey of Awareness and Necessity of the Research Ethics Education in Korean Optometry-Major Graduate School

Abstract

|
Purpose: We did this study to understand the present status and necessity of education of the research ethics and induce appropriate form of the education in Korean optometry-major graduate school.
Methods: We conducted a questionnaire survey of 31 Korean optometry graduate students and analyze their responses.
Results: Although the research ethics awareness of Korean optometry graduate students is not so high, they recognize necessity of the research ethics education. Correspondents who have learned the research ethics highly appreciate the necessity and usefulness of the research ethics education.
Conclusion: The necessity of the research ethics education is very high in Korean optometry-major graduate school, so that it is desirable that the education is given in forms of a credited subject or a non-credited lecture.
